Delete your account and data

You can request deletion of your SofaSites account at any time. This page explains what is deleted, how long it takes, and how to submit a request — including without installing the app.

1. Delete from inside the app

If you have the SofaSites app installed:

Open the app and sign in.
Tap Settings.
Scroll to Account and tap "Delete my account".
Your email app opens with a pre-filled deletion request. Send it.

2. Delete without the app

You can also request deletion directly from this page — no install required:

Or write a plain email to support@sofasites.app with subject "Account deletion" and tell us which email address your SofaSites account is registered under. For security reasons we must receive the request from that exact address.

Processing time: We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and complete deletion within 7 days in most cases.

3. What data is deleted

On deletion we permanently remove from our active systems:

Your user account and login data (email address, OTP history)
Profile and business data (name, business name, industry, address, phone number, listed services)
Uploaded images and files
Chat history with the AI assistant
Generated website content (text, layouts, images)
Published websites and connected domain configurations
Push notification tokens
Usage and analytics data linked to your account

4. What data may be retained

Some data must be retained temporarily to comply with legal obligations or to protect legitimate interests:

Backups containing your account	up to 30 days	Technical retention; backups are overwritten on rotation
Payment and invoicing records	10 years	German tax and commercial law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB)
Anonymized logs	indefinite	No longer contains personal data

5. What about my subscription?

Important: Deleting your SofaSites account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store (Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) before requesting deletion — otherwise additional charges may apply.

Pre-paid but unused subscription periods are not refunded automatically. You can request a refund directly from Google in line with Google Play's refund policy.
